Transportation costs can add up, so plan ahead! Getting to Petra from our hotel: Our hotel had a car service. The driver took us to Petra and brought us back. From Petra to Bethany Beyond the Jordan to Amman: We hired a different driver for 110 JD or $154. He waited while we explored Bethany Beyond the Jordan, then drove us to Amman. From Amman to Petra: We used the Jett Bus, a transportation and tourism service.
