Importance of chop and drop - Permaculture garden

Chop and drop as the name says is chopping down the organic material and putting back to soil. I find it very useful and call it lazy person’s job as it’s doing so much with so little effort. It supports many permaculture principles at the same time. Observe and interact. Generate no waste. Most of the organic material are chopped and put back down and little of it goes to compost bin, the ones with weed seeds are for hot compost. I also utilise the rose stems as a fence for baby trees outside the garden. I have tried and listed few reasons on why and how I do it.
