Los Angeles police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened early September 21, 2025, in the Hollenbeck Division. Around 12:35 a.m., officers responded to reports of a man armed with an assault rifle and shooting near the railroad tracks on North Myers Street. When officers arrived and began searching the area, they spotted the suspect with a rifle, and an officer-involved shooting occurred. The suspect ran from the scene, and despite an extensive search by SWAT and K9 units, he was not located. Rifle ammunition and casings were recovered as evidence.
