A devastating fire at a Jhansi hospital resulted in the death of 10 infants, with over 16 seriously injured. The fire, which engulfed the neonatal ICU ward late Friday night, was reportedly caused by a short circuit. The fire spread through the oxygen pipelines inside the ward. Shockingly, defunct fire extinguishers were found inside the ward, some of which had expired in 2022. An eyewitness alleged that a nurse lit a match inside the ICU, sparking the fire.
