Hey guys, I compared the stabilisation from Gyroflow vs. SteadXP with my BMPCC4k. The gyrodata for Gyroflow comes from the Braw file thanks to the newest firmware update. Setup: Shendrones Thicc X8 8", BMPCC4k, Laowa 7.5mm F2 Workflow to get the gyrodata from braw file working in Gyroflow: update BMPCC4k to new firmware | shoot in braw | convert the braw file to ProRes 422 through Media Encoder or DaVinci Resolve | load the ProRes file as videofile & the braw file as gyro file | choose the right lens profile | auto sync points | render Rendering speed: Gyroflow: 45 fps SteadXP: 4.2 fps Some Pro & Cons: Gyroflow: Pro's: free get's updated pretty frequently really fast rendering no gyro logger needed when shooting in braw with new firmware smooth stabilisation thanks to dynamic zooming. Con's: you need to convert the braw file to ProRes first found some minor jitters in the footage SteadXP: Pro's: once you get used to the workflow it works no jitters found Con's: expensive (around 300€ for software + gyro logger) support is not really responsive super slow rendering gyro logger needed synchronisation move needs to be done before every flight So for me Gyroflow is the way to go, even though there are some super small jitters. Maybe this will be fixed with further firmware updates or through some kind of filters. Rendering at 10x speed, no extra gyro logger and no synchronisation move makes it just way better to work with for me. Let me know what you like more and if you have problems with stabilisation let me know, I'm happy to help!
