University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix 2024 Year in Review

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix experienced an exceptional year in 2024. The Class of 2024 matched into exceptional residency programs in the state and around the country. White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2028 welcomed the largest cohort to join the college, with 130 students donning their white coats for the first time. Medicine is changing, and we are uniquely positioned to adapt and advance the field. The need for better access to health care and cures for disease continues to fuel our mission. This year also marked the expansion of important initiatives, along with our partners. Four new residency programs were launched with Banner Health. Delta Dental of Arizona invested $850,000 to create the Oral Health in Medicine Initiative. The college also welcomed more than a dozen new faculty researchers who will help innovate health care through biomedical research and innovation. We are pleased to share some of these accomplishments in the 2024 Year in Review.
