So, like any self-respecting watch nerd, I dove headfirst into the chaotic world of eBay and Chrono24—and stumbled on something truly unexpected: a vintage Seiko reference 5H23-6270, an integrated bracelet quartz piece from the 1980s/90s. Think Vacheron 222 vibes on a budget. It’s gold-tone, it’s 32mm (but wears a touch larger), and it has a bracelet that genuinely sparkles. It cost me just £40, and yet it might be the most joy I’ve had with a watch in a long time. Watch collecting isn’t always about value, specs, or prestige—it’s about what makes you smile.
