"Here, in these small workshops, clustered together among the foothills of the Malverns, they still make cars more or less as they did in 1910, when the family firm began." Martin Young reports from Malvern, home of the Morgan Motor Company. Unlike many of its contemporaries, Morgan has resisted automation and mass production, and continues to build handcrafted sports cars. The factory produces just eight cars a week, and has a full slate of orders from all over the world. Any would-be customer can expect to be on a waiting list for at least two years. Martin briefly takes us through the various stages of production of a Morgan, before interviewing Peter Morgan, the Managing Director of the company. Clip taken from Nationwide, originally broadcast on BBC One, 20 August, 1975.
