Ordinary Public Consistory is streamed from St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican. A consistory is a formal meeting of the College of Cardinals, and on this occasion His Holiness Pope Francis convenes them for the creation of new Cardinals. Attending this consistory will be the other members of the College of Cardinals, clergy and laity. The new cardinals will be presented with the red biretta and a ring by Pope Francis while he says “Receive this ring from the hand of Peter and know that, with the love of the Prince of the Apostles, your love for the Church is strengthened.” And each will also be assigned a church in Rome which symbolises the link between the new cardinal to Rome and to the pope - the Bishop of Rome.
