In this episode, I dive into how the Valar quickly realised Melkor was a serious threat once they found the Elves. Manwë decided it was time to reclaim Middle-earth, leading to the epic Battle of the Powers. Though they defeated Melkor and captured him, Sauron escaped, leaving seeds of future evil scattered across the land. After three ages, Melkor was released and pretended to reform, but he immediately began manipulating the Elves again, particularly targeting Fëanor, the brilliant creator of the Silmarils. As tensions rose in Valinor, Fëanor's rebellion grew—thanks to Melkor's whispers. When the truth came out, Melkor vanished, only to return later with a sinister plan alongside the monstrous Ungoliant. Together, they struck at the Two Trees of Valinor, plunging the land into darkness and chaos. Melkor killed Finwë, stole the Silmarils, and crossed back into Middle-earth, earning the name Morgoth from a furious Fëanor.
