Highland Dancing - Tartan Day on Ellis Island 2022

Dancer Mariah Rust of the Shot of Scotch Dancers performs the Seann Triubhas accompanied by Pipe Major David Palladino of the Rampant Lion Pipe Band. The performance was part of the 2022 observation of Tartan Day on Ellis Island produced by the Learned Kindred of Currie. First celebrated in 2002, the program included piping and drumming, Highland Dancing and Gaelic Singing. The centrepiece of the program was the exhibition, 'Scotland's Gifts to the World' which celebrates a sampling of Scot's accomplishments in science, industry, entertainment, sport and culture. Opening on March March 24, the exhibition is open to the public free-of-charge until April 29.
