Vogelberg: https://s.geo.admin.ch/pygce4cqer3h The Vogelberg (1204m), sometimes also called Passwang, is a popular excursion mountain in the canton of Solothurn near the cantonal border with Baselland. It is often mistakenly referred to as the highest peak in Basel, although Hinteri Egg (1169m), 2.2km to the east, is the highest peak in Basel. The Passwang ridge, which runs in a west-east direction, lies to the north of Mümliswil. The Passwang pass road, which connects the Laufental valley with the Mittelland, runs to the south-west of the Passwang summit. Apart from the steepest parts of the ridge directly below the crest, the southern flank is forested. Conversely, the mountain is mostly treeless towards the north and forested in the valley (Bogental). However, the highest point is in the forest, but to the west you have a good view to the north over the canton of Baselland as far as the Black Forest and the Vosgues. Source: https://www.hikr.org
