This is my triund trekk trip from kallu mata mandir to triund . It was a really great experience and this was my first trekk . This trekk is a great trekk for beginers and the terrain also filled with very friendly people . If you want to enjoy this place fully than you should start early and spend your full day and spend the night at the mountain top . Triund - Triund is a large land of green grass. One can see the mighty Dhauladhar ranges just above the eyes. The ridge elevation is between 2,810 and 2,875 metres. It is a one-day trek approx. 10 kilometres (one way) from Mcleod Ganj bus stand and under 6 kilometres (one way) from Galu temple near Dharamkot. The trail is rocky and cut in steps at some places. From Galu devi temple there is an unambiguous byway which goes through a beautiful forest of oak and devdar trees. This stretch through the woods is known as 22 Curves, because of the 22 switchbacks one has to walk through to reach Triund. Triund Campside - Triund Campsite is a base camp and acclimatisation point for trekkers climbing the Inderahara point in the Mt. Dhauladhar. For trekkers the view of the evening sky from Triund is a good enough reason to pitch a tent here for the night. The length of the trek makes it apt for a weekend. Triund Temperature - Triund is inaccessible in January and February due to heavy snowfall. The best time for the trekking is from March till May in the first part of the year and September till that the December in the second half of the year. It is Rainy in June and July but still trekking is possible the meadow is lush green presenting out of this world. Feel free to comment on my video if u have any questions .
