This video will walk you through step by step and show how to install the Oracle Instant Client & SQL Plus on a Windows machine. Then setup and connect to a 26ai Autonomous Database running on OCI. The video begins by showcasing how to download both the instant client and sql*plus from the web. Once downloaded we will create the required folder on the C drive, then extract the core files to the directory. Next we will download our 26ai Autonomous database wallet, then extract and show how to copy over the tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora and cwallet.sso files to the correct location inside the instant client extracted folder directory. Once configured we will show how to set the advanced system setting on Windows 10 to reference your sql*plus installation and open powershell to test our connection to our connection to the 26ai database.
