Day 8 of our Europe journey, and Day 4 in Switzerland, was all about Bollywood nostalgia — especially Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ). 🇨🇭✨ We started the morning with the elegant Golden Pass Belle Époque train to Saanen, with its vintage wooden interiors straight out of a dream. 🚞✨ In Saanen, we walked across the Saanen Bridge, recreating Raj & Simran’s iconic dance. At the Saanen airstrip, where Raj once ran beside a plane, I couldn’t resist running too — living the movie magic myself. 💫 Next, we visited the Saanen Church, before heading to the dreamy village of Gstaad. With its chalets, promenades, luxury boutiques, and the famous Early Beck bakery, Gstaad truly felt like stepping back into a Yash Chopra film set. We also stopped at the Gstaad Church, where countless Bollywood films were shot. The day continued in Zweisimmen, the very station where Simran missed her train with Raj. We recreated our own version of that iconic moment and even visited the kiosk that played its role in DDLJ’s story. 🎥❤️ ✨ 30 years later, breathing the same Swiss air where this legendary film was shot felt surreal. From Golden Pass to Gstaad, Saanen to Zweisimmen, it was a day of memories, love, and cinema magic.
