This time I took on a job most players would leave to a pro: refretting my 1978 Fender Telecaster (Made in USA). In true amateur fashion, I pulled the old frets, sanded and oiled the back of the neck, installed new frets, and fitted a new nut. Here's part 1 where I just got this guitar: • 1978 Telecaster USA – What’s Hiding Under ... After the “operation,” I can say just one thing: "It’s not for the faint hearted." Finally, I test the guitar through my Grand Tweed Deluxe (5E3) with a Celestion Blue 12" and a few of my favorite pedals. Gear used in this video: Amp: Grand Tweed Deluxe (5E3) w/ Celestion Blue 12" Pedals: Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive Deluxe, Strymon El Capistan v1, Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay (slapback), Neunaber Wet Reverb, Fulltone Supa-Trem (v1) Mics: Shure SM57 + Shure SM7B Interface: Focusrite Clarett 8 Pre DAW: Logic Pro Would you dare to refret your guitar yourself?
