Brands Hatch GP Track Day 06/08/24 This is the 2nd session of the day in the Advanced Group, before the rain arrived for the afternoon. The bike: Triumph Street Triple 765 RS in Cosmic Yellow MY23/24. The bike is mostly standard, including number plate and lights. This is the first time I tried out the Michelin Power Cup 2 tyres in the standard sizes, 180/55 rear. They felt good, more confidence in the front tyre and perhaps more grip than the Metzeler TD slick, in the few short dry sessions we had at least. I will see how these go with some longer hotter days. The rear circumference comes up smaller though, lowering the rear end and lowering the gearing slightly. As I need the ground clearance I added rear preload to raise the rear back up, rather than lower the front. Most of the additions are just for protection - by EvoTech and GB Racing (recommended), except for the front brake pads which are EBC GPFAX. These pads work well to avoid any fading. The engine is standard, the exhaust is standard unfortunately, the gearing is standard (because Triumph restrict you from altering it, I’ve tried) and it has no ECU mapping modification at all (until someone hopefully eventually offers this for these newer MY23/24 model bikes).
