Ever wondered what happens when rubber, balloons, and boiling water meet -320°F liquid nitrogen? Let’s find out. In this video, we perform three experiments that reveal just how extreme temperatures can dramatically change everyday materials: 🔥 Experiment 1: A flexible rubber tube is submerged into liquid nitrogen. As it cools rapidly, it becomes brittle and rigid, showing how temperature affects polymers. 💨 Experiment 2: We pour boiling water into a container of liquid nitrogen mixed with soap. The rapid expansion of nitrogen gas creates a bubbling eruption that traps and releases white water vapor. 🎈 Experiment 3: Balloons filled with air are dipped into liquid nitrogen. The air molecules inside slow down, causing the balloons to shrink — until they warm back up and re-inflate as the molecules move again. All of this happens because liquid nitrogen is -320°F, and the interactions between hot and cold are both surprising and visually dramatic. #YouTubeShorts #Shorts #ScienceShorts #Science #LiquidNitrogen #ScienceExperiments Science Experiments & Demonstrations: • Science Experiments & Demonstrations Among the world's largest science centers, the Museum of Science engages millions of people each year to the wonders of science and technology through interactive exhibitions, digital programs, giant screen productions, and preK – 12 EiE® STEM curricula through the William and Charlotte Bloomberg Science Education Center. Established in 1830, the Museum is home to such iconic experiences as the Theater of Electricity, the Charles Hayden Planetarium, and the Mugar Omni Theater. Around the world, the Museum is known for digital experiences such as Mission: Mars on Roblox, and traveling exhibitions such as the Science Behind Pixar.
