Cuts (rushes, out takes) for story in Colour Pictorial - CP 682. The original story is on Pathe Master tape *PM0433*, reel 1 of the cuts is on *PM0439*. Cuts for story HONG KONG in CP 682. Several shots show a local man carving a horse from jade; other pieces made in the stone are seen around him in a shop. A small Buddha made of Amber is also seen. Another man carves a very intricate three-dimensional design from wood to make panels for a screen. More footage of the young people having a barbecue at West Bay at night. Several high angle shots in an ornate nightclub or ballroom show girls in a fashion show or beauty contest sashaying out onto a stage before people sitting at tables; some of the girls dance; a compere in cream dinner jacket and dark glasses introduces the girls. Further shots seem to indicate this is perhaps a rehearsal for a fashion show at the Hotel Miramar Theatre Restaurant; some groovy fashions are seen; two women come out with small girls in identical costumes - a 'Mother and Daughter' line? The models are of both eastern and western origin. Some women sitting beside the stage make notes - fashion journalists? The other footage in these out takes is the same or similar to cut story.
