Can I Wear Jeans? | New Style & Wardrobe Ideas | Fixing & Hemming Thrifted Jeans | Closet shocks!

I've bought my first pair of jeans after almost 40 years! I decided to give them another go after spotting an extremely large rack of jeans at my local recycle boutique. I figured that there must be at least one pair on the rack that didn't look dreadful and/or feel uncomfortable to wear! I took support, in the form of my daughter, as I knew it was going to be a very stressful and traumatic experience but after trying on practically every pair of jeans in the shop, both my daughter and I left the shop with a pair jeans that fitted, and that we liked! The shopping gods were obviously smiling on us that day :-) The next challenge was to turn them up as they were of course too long for me and there was also some stitching coming undone on the rear end. I found out how to turn them up and keep the original hem from YouTube of course and also came up with a very successful way of invisibly mending the loose orange stitching. The next challenge was to figure out how to wear them with the other pieces in my wardrobe so I spent the afternoon playing dress-up and working out what worked and what didn't. I also bought a new shirt at the recycle boutique that goes really well with the jeans so all round, I am very pleased with my new jeans and the final looks. I now have to wear them out and see how they perform in the wild!
