The place where we lay ourselves down as an offering to Jesus. The place where we stand in awe of Him and behold His beauty. The place where we recognize Him as the perfect and precious Lamb of God, the great I Am, the Holy One. There is a stirring in every person’s heart, a calling to deeper places. We all feel it. Deep within us, we sense the tug in our spirit. This is the invitation to experience the fullness of Jesus, to lay down our lives more fully, and to access the heart of the Father through prayer and worship. The Altar is a space created for encounters with Jesus, a place to build an altar of pure hearts and thanksgiving to Him who is worthy. There is excellence in the music and worship, yet simplicity; an atmosphere of stillness and listening to the Holy Spirit’s voice. We remain open to the movement of His Spirit. If He leads us into exuberant praise, we will follow. If He guides us into complete silence, we will follow. Whatever it is, His will, it shall be done in this time and space.
