640-meter-long Shirahama Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the Kansai region. There's an open-air bath on the beach that you can enter while wearing your swimsuit. Indulge in the waters of the famed Shirahama Onsen while gazing out at the beautiful beach. White sands, nice hotels, crystal clear sea water, onsen, everything is perfect. I really enjoyed swimming here. This is a must visit and spend place in your summer break. Easier to take bus from Osaka to this beach. Shower rooms are easy to spot. Great place to spend some time off if you live in the surrounding prefectures. It's a small-ish artificially enhanced beach with white sand so it's leagues better than what you'll find in Osaka or Kobe. Waves get pretty exciting depending on the season.
