Yes! Hearing/listening fatigue is a real thing! Hearing fatigue is exhaustion I feel after long periods of hearing. As a hard-of-hearing person, hearing isn't as subconscious for me as it is for a person with normal or better hearing. I have to focus in order to understand what I am hearing. That focus over a prolonged period of time becomes exhausting. Thus hearing fatigue sets in! Some people may not understand hearing fatigue and how exhausting it is.
