Just when my tickets to Bali were booked, I came to know of NYEPI, the Day of Silence observed every Hindu year in the island.Now that I could not swipe the dates of travel, I tried to know about Nyepi in detail. One cannot be on roads, one has limited access to food, one has no network connections etc. hit the google NOT-TO-DO in Nyepi. Also, I came to know about the Ogoh-Ogoh processions where the Balinese Hindus make demon idols & take them out and burn them later on the eve of Nyepi.The motive of observing Nyepi is cleansing & I thought God must have some plan on mind to impose me a FORCED HOLIDAY. P.S.The stay at Ladera Villa,Ubud & observing the Nyepi with restricted access to resources literally opened up few spiritual doors in the land of EAT, PRAY, LOVE #nyepi #placestovisitinbali #laderavilla #ubuddestination #silentfestival #balinese #resortsinubud
