This is a playthrough of SOVL, a fantasy strategy game, as the Dwarf Foreman of the Dwarf Holds. The Dwarves are a faction focusing on immense physicals resilience possessing stalwart ranks of thickly armoured warriors, supported by marvelous war engines. This playthrough will focus heavily on the infantry on the dwarves, placing faith in their iron hides and iron hearts to carry us through battle. The third part sees us face the Act 1 boss and come to terms with some of the limitations of a slow moving, all melee build. Namely, if the opposition has any ranged capacity at all your strategic options boil down to standing there and getting shot or slowing trudging toward them, and getting shot. The playthrough is a mixture of entertainment and tutorial as it will explain some of the concepts of the game as it progresses as well as the thought process behind decisions.
