Uncovering the first 200 year old barn brought excitement as we uncovered the original flag stones and gully for the animal waste. The second building was a lot flatter but this was due to it being mainly a concrete floor but still a great discovery. The last part of the second building is next on the list. 200 Years Old, But Does This Stone Barn Have A Solid Floor? Back in line with the 2025 Plans for Our Irish Farmhouse Renovation & Restoration, we are done for now on the homestead and turn our attention to the last ancient outbuilding. It may be 200 years old, but does this stone barn have a solid floor? What will the last ancient building present. Will it have a soil floor, a concrete floor or something much more exciting? Maybe old flag stones or maybe just some cobbles. A lot of people are searching for Irish cottage renovations and Irish cottage restorations but we can't fall under either of those due to our house being a farmhouse. We were complete beginners at restoration, let alone a 110 year old farmhouse with 200 year old farm buildings, also really needing a "homesteading for beginners" guide we are still taking it slowly, enjoying everything we do no matter how hard it is, to one day realise our dream of running a fully functioning homestead from our once derelict Irish Farmhouse. 👨👨👦👦 Become a Channel Member: / @thecornerhouseproject ☕ Buy Us A Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/thecorne... 🥇 Thank you to those for supporting us with a Super Thanks There is something for everyone at The Corner House Project, if you subscribed for the derelict house restoration and renovations or just for the homestead in Ireland, we will bring the smiles, you sit back and relax and let us do the work.... well, Dawn will do the work.
