After a lot of false starts requiring me to glue bits back on to this long-suffering Dolphin (and send a VTX back to Walksnail), I finally flew her today, on a warm but overcast, slightly gustier than expected morning. This is a pretty stock PNP Dolphin, so using the supplied motor, prop, ESC and servos. Flight control is via a Speedybee F405 Wing board running iNav 6.0.0 (upgrade imminent) and I am using a Walksnail Starlight camera with an original VTX (V2 VTX had to go for repair and ended up in my Rekon7). Control link is using Crossfire, an I fly with a 4S1P 21700 high discharge cell pack which gives a nice CoG. Once she was in the air, the flight was lovely, lots of control even in Horizon mode. She is noisy, even at 300+m away I could still hear her really easily, especially when I'm used to the T1 or the Talon 250g. She definitely has a turn of speed about her, although I did mostly cruise around more slowly, but I'm thinking she may be a good candidate for the Lighthouse run I'm planning. There are a few items to check, such as what is going on with Autolaunch, as that seems to not be configured properly, trimming her nose-up by a few degrees, putting autotune on a switch (although she wasn't spongy like the T1 and the Talon were before autotuning), moving some stuff round on the OSD etc. I do think this will likely become one of my favourite planes though, put in the car for most outings, and I look forward to getting more airmiles on the clock. #nifpv #nifpv_official #walksnail #inav
