What is good RunningBastards! Welcome back to another video. In this video we are running the New York Road Runners' United Airlines NYC Half 2024. This is one of the marquee races for NYRR and you can tell by the amount of runners and crowds it was epic. Pacer Greg provided the energy to the crowd pumping up everyone in the 2:05 group. Shout-out to Pacer Greg for bringing it. Although around mile 8 I could no longer keep pace due to dehydration, the lesson learned here was to fuel better during the race even if you feel good. Fuel is important to have either way (if you are feeling good or not) to prevent fatigue. So take the energy gel and or drink the water regardless. Another important detail is your pre-race fueling, you need to hydrate and eat well days and weeks before your run. I am still proud of my run even though it was not what I was projected to finish with I will just train better. Key Takeaways: 1.
