Upper Gastrointestinal endoscopy is passed through mouth 2. After introduction first we will see uvula then posterior aspect of tongue 3. Behind the tongue we will see epiglottis and cricoarytenoid cartilage 4. Now scope is passed behind cricoarytenoid cartilage 5. Ask the patient to swallow with gentle push of scope allow us to enter inside the esophagus 6. Scope now in esophagus 7. Further advancement of scope leads to identification of gastroesophageal junction 8. Now scope is advanced into the stomach. Inside the stomach to look for any lesions/inflammatory changes/mucosal pattern 9. Now the antrum is examined 10. After examination of the antrum, now scope is advanced into the pylorus 11. After successful intubation of pylorus now we can see the mucosal pattern of 1st part of the duodenum 12. Further advanced of scope into the 2nd part of duodenum 13. After examination of 2nd part of duodenum, the scope is withdrawn 14. After examination of the body of the stomach do a retroflexion of the scope and examine fundus and cardia 15. Biopsy is taken in the suspected area with the help of biopsy forceps
