Special thanks to Isaias Gil for demoing these kits for us. In this video we are comparing 9 different shell types: Standard Maple, Pure Cherry, Pure Birch, Pure Purpleheart, Maple-Mahogany, Cherry-Mahogany, Cherry-Spruce, Maple-Spruce, Santa Monica. The video is split in 3 sections. The first section compares all the shell types using the same tuning and demonstrated with the same groove. The second section we tuned the kits where they wanted to sit, or sounded their best. Lastly, the third section compares the individual drums side by side.
