The procedure, often known as an eye lift, is usually done for aesthetic reasons. What is Eyelid Lift? An eyelid lift is a surgical procedure done to remove the signs due to ageing around the eyelid. There are two types of eyelid lift surgery. Blepharoplasty for Upper Eyelid Lift A tiny incision is made within the natural wrinkle of the eyelid for upper eyelid surgery. Excess skin is removed, and fat or muscle tissues are removed, depending on the situation. The surgeon seals the incision after the skin has been removed. Blepharoplasty for Lower Eyelid Lift Under this surgery, fat is removed from the lower eyelid by making an incision just below the lower lash line. Because the surgery is performed in this area to reduce under-eye bags, usually only fat and perhaps a small amount of skin is removed. In some cases, people tend to have sunken and saggy skin on the mid-face. Mid-facelift is also done along with blepharoplasty to have an overall better and rejuvenated facial appearance. The incisions used in blepharoplasty are made so that the scars are adequately hidden within the normal layout of the eye area. Within a week of operation, the sutures are removed. While preparing for eye-lift/blepharoplasty surgery, you must first visit a plastic surgeon to discuss your reasons for wanting the treatment, your worries, and your projected outcomes. Recovery Phase An eye-lift has a speedier recovery time than other cosmetic treatments. Once your procedure is done, you'll be discharged a few hours after the treatment. It may take some time for the operated areas swelling to go down. After the procedure, you will be advised to rest for a few days and be given drugs to help with swelling and discomfort.
