The historical village of Abianeh is located 40 kilometers northwest of Natanz city in Isfahan province in Iran. The age of this village, which was built on the wall of a mountain called Karax, dates back to 1500 years ago, so it is not surprising that there are many historical monuments in it. The local people of Abyaneh call this village Viona; Viona means willow forest and the reason why this village is known by this name is that in ancient times this place was full of willow trees. There are 500 houses in it. With the research done by archaeologists on the old houses of this village, it has been determined that their design and construction dates back to the times of the Seljuks, Sasanians, Safavids and Qajars. Bricks and clay were used in the construction of the houses of this historic village. There is a mine near this village, whose clay was used in the old days to build the facades of the houses in this village, and that is the reason why the buildings are red in color (due to the presence of clay). Most of the people of this village make a living through agriculture, animal husbandry and horticulture, and they still use the old methods to do these things, so that they get water from Haft Qanat to do agricultural work. The agricultural products of this village are potatoes, wheat and barley and their horticultural products are pears, apricots, walnuts and apples. In the old days, women in this village lived by weaving beautiful carpets, but now people have turned to carpet weaving, so that there are 30 different workshops for carpet weaving in this village. People in this village have spent many years without commuting to other cities, and for this reason, their accent, culture and way of dressing have not changed compared to the past. Women wear colorful and floral dresses and white scarves, and men wear black, loose and long pants. Among the historical monuments of this village is the fire temple that was built during the Zoroastrian period. Three castles are located in different parts of the village, which are among its attractions. This village has a number of shrines, the most famous of which is Hinza shrine, which is located in the eastern part of the village in a valley.
