Gujrat Crime, Gangs of Gujrat, Dons of Gujrat, Crime Groups of Gujrat, Crime harboring Politicians of Gujrat, Shakki Gujjar Group, Syed Raza Shah Group, Gujrat News Alert This video is providing information on various criminal groups and dons of district Gujrat, a crime driven district of Punjab, Pakistan. The crime activities in which these groups of Gujrat were involved and their political affiliation with various politicians is also discussed in this video. The video starts from the major reason behind the emergence of these criminal groups, which were local bodies elections of 1964 and 1979, wherein the status quo or “Chodhrahat” became a norm and was the reason behind political killings in numerous villages of said district Gujrat. Around 30 dangerous groups became active by 1990s and were having weapons way above the law enforcement agencies and according to a report around 500 people per year were killed in violent disputes between these groups from year 1992 to 1997. According to a report of Senior Journalist Mujahid Hussain, Political Gangs in district Gujrat was initially introduced by Chaudhary Zahoor Elahi, Father of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Uncle of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. After the death of Chaudhary Zahoor Elahi, the elders of this family especially Chaudhary Wajahat Hussain kept providing support to these criminal groups and in return they helped them in elections of 1990, 1993, 1997 and so on. Political rivals of Chaudhary family and others including Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar, the than owner of Servis Shoes Corporation, Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul, Nawabzada Mazhar Ali Gul, Nawabzada Mian Mushtaq Hussain Pagganwala, Manzoor Hussain Shah of Kulewal Syedan and Haji Muhammad Asghar Kaira were also harboring different criminal groups and gangs of Gujrat during 1980s and 1990s.
