3D Monitoring & Measurements with the Tektronix WFM8300 Waveform Monitor

In this presentation we will provide you with a general understanding of Stereoscopic 3D Technology, review the challenges of producing content in 3D and how we create the experience of depth with our eyes and brain. We will look at how to monitor stereoscopic 3D signals from the Left Eye and Right Eye cameras and how we need to ensure that the images from each camera are matched. We will used the Tektronix WFM8000 series waveform monitors to monitor and measure the stereoscopic 3D signals and what adjustments need to be made to ensure correct color balance of the left and right eye images. Tektronix has developed a patented Quad Diamond display that can be used by camera operators and colorist to aid in matching of the left and right images.
