I Added an EXTERNAL SPEAKER to a Tiny GUITAR AMP… The Tone Changed Completely

In this follow up experiment, I push my stacked miniature guitar amplifiers even further by adding an external speaker output and running them through a full size 2x12 guitar cabinet. The original amps only had tiny 3 inch speakers, which limited their tone and bass response. After this simple modification, the improvement in sound was dramatic. In my previous video I showed how cascading small amplifiers can produce surprisingly good tone. Several viewers suggested connecting the amps to a larger speaker cabinet, so I decided to try it. The result was far better bass response, clearer guitar tone, and a much fuller overdriven sound without adding any extra effects. To make the modification, I installed a switching 1/4 inch output jack that disconnects the internal speaker when a cable is inserted. This allows the amp to safely drive an external speaker cabinet while still working normally with the internal speaker when nothing is plugged in. The test run through a 2x12 cabinet completely changed how these little amps sound. What started as two cheap miniature practice amps now produces a tone that is surprisingly usable for guitar.
