This is day 61 of writing 354 songs in 354 days—that’s a song a day for almost a year. Previously, I challenged myself to write 100 songs in 100 days, but I now I feel it’s time to up the ante. The goal this time is to write at least two verses, and one chorus, record a video of me playing the song, and uploading it to YouTube, TikTok, and instagram. This will accomplish three things: 1. Develop my songwriting skills 2. Find my people 3. Connect me with other musicians, songwriters, and artists Today’s song is called “I don’t have the energy” and it’s about trying to change things in life to self-improve but eventually burning out every time. Lyrics: I’m moving my furniture all over again Hoping that’ll it’ll change my state of mind Rearranging my schedule, and starting new habits A new routine a new hobby just something to redefine What I would call life I’ll pick up journaling another time Cause now I’ve started making my coffee at home And I can only pick one thing for my life But in doing so I’ve completely stopped the flow And convinced myself that I’m fine Why can’t I have it all?
