Vietnam is a favorite foreign destination among Indians, because of the direct connectivity and affordable prices. But most of the Indians miss the Fansipan: The peak of Vietnam. In this video I am sharing the minute details about Fansipan. The nearest town to the Fansipan peak is SaPa, which is around 6 hours away from Hanoi. There are several options to reach SaPa from Hanoi viz., sleeper bus, shared cab or private cab. How to reach Fansipan from Sapa: The easiest and fastest way to reach the peak of Vietnam is booking a ticket to Sun World Legend. The combo of monorail and cable car will take you to the Fansipan peak. Several combinations of tickets create confusion. So here is an easy guide for you. There are 4 major transit points: 1) Sapa Station- Sun Plaza; 2) Muong Hoa Station; 3) Fansipan Station and 4) Fansipan Peak. The Sapa station (Point 1) is situated at the heart of Sapa Town, from there the monorail goes to the Muong Hoa station. From the Point 2 the cable car starts which goes upto the Fansipan station (point 3). From the Point 3 you can get a monorail to the peak or walk through the stairs to the peak. Ticket options: The ticket can be booked for, Option 1: whole journey from the Point 1 to the Point 4 which includes round trip on Muong Hoa Monorail + Cable car and monorail to peak (one side). Option 2: Ticket from Point 1 to Point 3 and then walking from Point 3 to Point 4. This option includes round trip on Muong Hoa Monorail + Cable car. It is the most recommended option. Option 3: Book the ticket only for cable car. Directly reach the cable car station by cab and then took the cable car from the Point 2 to the Point 3. This is the cheapest option. For this ticket I have spent around INR 3000 and I took the option 2. It's better to book your ticket online, so you can save a few dollars. I booked it through Klook. About the Journey: From the monorail and cable car the panoramic view of the Muong Hoa valley is mesmerizing. The valley is famous for its step cultivation of rice. In the month of September, the valley looks stunning. That is really the BEST time to visit this place. In the winter season this place gets a thick snow cover. The walking way to the peak from the Fansipan station, is through the pagodas of Sunworld Fansipan Legend. Fansipan is considered as Vietnam's good layer of Earth, is located in Hoang Lien Mountain Range and the tallest mountain in the 3 Indochinese countries: Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia. Geology of Fansipan: Let me share something very interesting. This Fansipan hill range is a massif made up of granite. Two different mountain building processes one is around 250 Ma (Indosinian Orogeny) and another phase of upliftment happened around 55 Ma (Himalayan orogeny) make this area so high from the sea level. Fansipan is not only the highest peak of Vietnam, but having the highest crystal thickness of Vietnam. Guinness Book Record of Fansipan: The cable car of Fansipan is world famous and awarded two Guinness certifications by Guinness Book World Records.
