*Breaks aired 9am-12pm, Thursday Jan 6 on Melbourne's 101.9 The Fox *The studio was pure filth, so while most shows were on break I decided to spring clean! While getting into the desk/mixing board I accidental pressed too many buttons at once and it locked up: couldn't turn the desk on, let alone use it for a shift. Other FM studio was out of bounds due to C*VID social distancing/shared space policy at my company... The DAB+ studios downstairs weren't configured to go live on FoxFM, or even to voicetrack the microphone channel into Zetta. Last option was our newsbooth that while *technically has the playout software, it's currently being used as a beta-test and wasn't configured correctly either. Was seconds away from throwing in the towel and flicking the station into no-jock auto mode when it came to me: Let's put the 13500ish hours of announcing time over the past 19 years to the test!! 😆
