Whether you have used online jamming software like Jamulus, JamKazam or in this case SonoBus, you might have thought of connecting your Digital Workstation (DAW) into the workflow. In this video I show you how to route audio in pro tools to the SonoBus AAX plugin as well as routing each independent performer to their own Pro Tools audio track for recording / mixing. This will allow Recording Engineers or someone to take on the role of recording engineer for the online session. If you are stuck in quarantine or just far away from your musician friends, this opens the ability to have real-time performance and recording sessions together. (instead of just passing each other recorded ideas). It allows for more organic performance and real-time feedback amongst participants. This is my first attempt at creating a training video.
