Warner Bros. Studio Tour visit–a childhood dream come true for me✨💜! Celebrating #ReturnToHogwarts week with a throwback to my visit to the Leavesden Studio in the UK. Harry Potter is a household name worldwide, and for us millennials who grew up with the boy wizard and his friends, it’s a fandom filled with childhood nostalgia, no matter where we’re from. I still remember my first encounter with the Harry Potter films in 2001 (Sorcerer’s Stone) as a 9-year-old, and now, 23 years later, visiting the very studios where the movie magic came alive on the big screen was a whirlwind of emotions. Life has changed, but returning to Harry Potter always feels like being ‘greeted by an old friend’. The Warner Bros. Studio Tour features the original costumes, props, and sets used during the film production. Tickets are available year-round on the official Warner Bros. Studio (The Making of Harry Potter) website. If you plan to visit during peak seasons (summer and winter holidays), it’s best to book your tickets online well in advance—at least a couple of weeks ahead. Tickets are pricey, but if you’re a true Potterhead, the experience is absolutely worth it! The tour takes about 3–4 hours on average, though it can last longer depending on how much time you spend taking photos and videos. I recommend choosing a daytime slot, as the outdoor sets look much better in natural light. Food inside the studio is also on the expensive side, so it’s a smart idea to eat your meal beforehand if you’re on a tight budget. And don’t forget to carry an umbrella—the UK weather is famously unpredictable, and some sets are outdoors.
