Kidney Stones Experience - Symptoms and Diagnosis Passing a Kidney Stones is no fun! For SOME people, understanding what causes kidney stones can make a big difference in their life. Kidney stones are made of compounds in the urine. #kidney #doctor #health Usually, these compounds are dissolved in the urine. But sometimes, they don’t stay dissolved. Instead, they bond with one another to form solid CRYSTALS. Over time these crystals can stick together to form stones, and that PROCESS depends on MANY factors. One of the BIGGEST factors is the CONCENTRATION of the urine. ------------- Doctor Mike Hansen's Programs ⏩ Increase Your ENERGY & BANISH FATIGUE: https://learn.doctormikehansen.com/pr... 6 Days To MORE ENERGY: https://doctormikehansen.com/6-days-t... ------------- The more concentrated the urine, the higher the chances of a stone forming. Concentrated urine is darker in color, which is not what you want. Take a look at this powder I have here, containing many compounds. It will take a certain amount of water to adequately dissolve these compounds. This is why adequate drinking amounts of water are significant in preventing kidney stones. Kidney Stones also tend to form when the urine has VERY high levels of specific stone forming substances; we’re mainly talking about calcium, oxalate, phosphate, and uric acid. These levels are so HIGH that stones form despite drinking lots of water in some people. These excess levels can be caused by genetic disorders, certain medical conditions, infections, medications, and diet. The pH of the urine also affects kidney stones formation. If urine is too acidic, meaning the pH is too low, people are more likely to develop calcium oxalate and uric acid stones. On the other end of the spectrum, if the urine is too alkaline, it’s more likely that calcium phosphate stones will form. The pH of a liquid describes how acidic or alkaline a liquid is on a scale from 1 to 14. Plain water has a neutral pH of 7. Acidic liquids have a pH less than 7, while alkaline fluids are more significant than 7. For reference, coffee has a ph of 5, orange juice a 3, battery acid 1, and the acid in your stomach is around 2-3. The normal pH of urine is around 6, so slightly acidic. Even a slight lowering of urinary pH to less than 5.5 makes it easier for uric acid compounds to stick together to form crystals, which can then form kidney stones. Hydration is the key to having a normal urine pH of 6. Limiting the amount of animal protein intake is part of the equation too. How big are Kidney Stones? They can be the size of a grain of sand, the size of a golf ball, or anywhere in between. 2. she had excruciating chest pain Watch NOW: • she had excruciating chest pain 3.
