Swelling occurs following rhinoplasty. After two weeks Mr Hassan removes the splint from his patients and recommends that they start massaging their noses to reduce swelling and aid healing. This is done gradually with pressure steadily increased. Mr Hassan asks his patients to massage 3-4 times per day for around 3-4 minutes per session. Night taping and sleeping propped up also helps to reduce swelling .
