Justin Strzelczyk played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This story originally aired in 2006, a year before it was discovered that Justin's had brain damage known as CTE. This incident sparked a debate about the seriousness of concussions at the National Football League Summit in June 2007 when neuropathologist Bennet Omalu linked the deaths of Strzelczyk to chronic traumatic encephalopathy like three other retired NFL players—Mike Webster, Andre Waters and Terry Long. In 2005, forensic pathologist Bennet Omalu, along with colleagues in the Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh, published a paper, "Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in a National Football League Player", in the journal Neurosurgery, based on analysis of the brain of deceased former NFL center Mike Webster. This was then followed by a paper on a second case in 2006 describing similar pathology, based on findings in the brain of former NFL player Terry Long. This would lay ground for the 2015 movie "Concussion" Starring Will Smith who plays Bennet Omalu in the movie. @Monkeygetfunky
