Solent Socials 2025 – What a Start! | Smooth Hounds, Rays & Great Vibes! We’re kicking off the 2025 season in style with the first Solent Socials event of the year – and what a way to start! Hosted at the beautiful MDL Marina, Hamble Point, we had 10 boats hit the water for a fun, friendly day of competition and camaraderie. Target species: Smooth hounds & rays Bonus species: Dogfish (because why not!) From the first cast, the action was non-stop. Dogfish were everywhere, rays made a strong showing, and the smooth hounds didn’t disappoint. Squidward 3 took an early lead with Caz landing a ray, but the competition was tight all day.
