Matthew Monk, a PhD Candidate at the University of Delaware and Winterthur’s new Linda Eaton Associate Curator of Textiles, presented “Crafting Appalachia: Examining Berea College’s History and Traditions of Making” at the 9th Annual Emerging Scholars Colloquium at the Park Avenue Armory in January 2025. The program was sponsored by the Richard Hampton Jenrette Foundation and Mrs. Sandra Ayres.
