Walking Vienna, Shopping Street Simmeringer Hauptstraße | 4K HDR Dolby Vision | ASMR

On a cloudy Friday afternoon I was exploring Vienna Simmering, Vienna's 11th district. I mainly walk on the shopping street called Simmeringer Hauptstraße. The oldest main traffic route in Simmering was a section of the Limesstrasse (Roman military road) laid out in the first century, which connected the most important military camps along the northern border of the Roman Empire (here the Danube). Even today, Simmeringer Hauptstrasse is the district's traffic artery. Its also a shopping street and it offers many small shops, such as small grocery stores, hairdressers, bakeries and smaller specialist shops. Many businesses are run by self-employed people from migrant communities. "Pfarre Zur Göttlichen Liebe" is a beautiful church located on Simmeringer Hauptstraße, which I also filmed. My walk ends in front of the Vienna Central Cemetery, "Wiener Zentralfriedhof". It was opened in 1874 and, with an area of ​​almost two and a half square kilometers and around 330,000 grave sites with around three million deceased, it is one of the largest cemeteries in Europe. It has been expanded a total of seven times in the course of its history, the last time in 1921. At the time of its opening, it was considered the largest in Europe. The cemetery also houses the presidential crypt, in which the Federal Presidents of the Second Republic have been buried with all honors since 1951. And you also find Honor graves in "Wiener Zentralfriedhof". The graves of Beethoven, Falco and many more can be found there.
