(28 Jan 1977) Bomb attacks in the Spanish capital of Madrid. Terrorists have shot officers guarding savings banks in the city. A nearby patrol of Guardia Civil heard the shots and when their small Citroen car arrived outside, the terrorists were apparently just making off and hurled a hand-grenade at the car. The explosion punched a hole in the side and peppered the interior with shrapnel severely injuring the occupants.
