It’s hard to believe it’s been just one month since Donald Trump was in Walter Reed Medical Facility. But here we are. Racing to the finish line with Donald Trump bouncing from one rally to the next while Joe Biden hangs back. Polling day is coming with no certainty we’ll have an answer in the days or week to come. And people are scared. People voting both ways are scared of violence and protests if there’s no clear result. One man in Philadelphia told me he was stocking up on groceries in case he had to bunker down for a few days. It seemed light hearted but there are an awful lot of windows boarded up here. I still suspect there aren’t as many people voting as a referendum on the virus response as we might think. There are still plenty of voters who are voting to re-open the economy. But in a pandemic none of the normal rules apply.
