Fitting a FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER to the Cupra

Among a few things needed to map it and cope with higher power, a bigger front mount intercooler is needed, so I crack on and get one fitted. Stuff needed for front mount setup: You can buy all of this on ebay... the intercooler, the piping, jubliee clips and the angle iron for the brackets. Intercooler - 600mm x 300mm x 76mm (bar and plate type) Try get the Toyo sports on on ebay. They're about £100. Piping: You can find all this lot on ebay. 2x 76mm to 63mm reducers (45 degree) 2x 63mm beaded alloy pipe (90 degree) 2x 63mm silicone pipes (90 degree) 1x 63mm beaded alloy pipe (45 degree) 1x 63mm silicone pipe (45 degree) This list doesn't include the upper boost hose coming out the intake manifold, or the MAP pipe, as they're custom pipes. You can use the stock ones for this like I did, or get some better ones from creationmotorsport. I think forge make a custom map pipe too, but the hard plastic standard one will be fine unless its really brittle. Jubilee clips 12 x 60-80mm 2 x 70-90mm Brackets A piece of angle iron or angled aluminium. I used 5mm thick but that was probably overkill for steel. You could use 2.5mm and be fine. Dimensions I used were 500mm length x 60mm x 60mm Then you'll need some M8 nuts & bolts to go in the intercooler and mount your brackets. Happy hunting boys.
