We went to the Nimtita Zamindar Mansion from Rejinagar by Bajaj CT110X bike. The distance of this route was about 120 km. The journey by bike was very comfortable. Nimtita Zamindar Mansion was established by Goursundar Chowdhury and his brother Dwarakanath Chowdhury in 1855. Inside the zamindar house there are 5 courtyards, 150 rooms, stage and God place. Famous people like Upendranath Brahmachari, Annadashankar Roy, Leela Majumder and rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam visited the Zamindar's house. In 1958, Satyajit Ray shot the famous movie Jalsaghar in this zamindar house. Now there is no more that zamindar, the splendor of that zamindar house is no more. But the good news is that the decision to declare this zamindar house as a heritage site is underway. Direction: Berhampore to Sajur More by bus and take e Toto van.
